Wedding Supplier Insight Interview – Eliza Rose – The Artisan Florist
Research your season. If you want the best flowers possible then don’t expect peonies in December or daffodils in July! It comes as a shock to most couples that certain flowers aren’t readily available all year and this can lead to disappointment. Some flowers are available to be shipped out of season but they are often not ‘ready’ to bloom, smaller in size and will not create that magazine style bouquet a lot of brides are after.

Sarah & Sam at The Inner Temple
I adored photographing this wedding, the smiles everyone had throughout the day, the emotional exchanges during the ceremony and the energy on the dance floor helped to make it one of the best weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing!

Wedding Supplier Insight Interview – JP Video Kent
So Jack, I love to suggest to my couples about writing each other a card for each other to open in the morning, it provides an emotive moment to capture and can really put their partners nerves at bay!
Can you suggest the single best thing a bride and groom can do or plan into their day to enhance their wedding video?
Recent Real Weddings
Here is a small selection of real weddings I have photographed, I try to slow a large variety of images throughout the day, so you get a better idea of what the couple received and how I captured their day!

Amy & Luke – Commissioner’s House Chatham
Amy’s morning started at Commissioner’s House in the Historic Dockyards In Chatham, being the oldest naval building which is still standing in England it has amazing decor inside, built in 1704 it has a lot of history behind it. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side it was basically raining from the very start of the day, and it did not stop for even a minute. This means that all but a few photos were taken inside, using a lot of off camera light!

Jon & Morgan – Sutton Valence
The Bride and Groom had their Reception and wedding breakfast in their family’s large garden and adjoining field surrounded by their close friends and family. They had decorated it with everything from their own home and past, giving it a great feeling of history and intimacy. Once they arrived in style they were showered with confetti, before sharing in the reception drinks, and speeches and the wedding breakfast proceeded!

Creating a Wedding Photog Timeline
For example, if you want beautiful outdoor photos, and you don’t want to take your photos before the ceremony, you should not plan for your ceremony to start at 3pm in December; because the sun sets before 4pm! However, if it’s cold and wet outside, and you intend to take your formal pictures inside anyways, then you only need to consider the amount of time you need between the ceremony and reception.

Wedding FAQ Vol.2
I photograph on mulitple cameras that record the files to two locations at a time, during any downtime in the wedding we download these files, normally when you sit down for food, because who wants to be photographed when your digging into your food!?

My Top Pre-Wedding Portraits Session Tips
If you’re having a hard time choosing, bring more and ask for our input once we get “on set.” Steer clear of black tops and dresses, which don’t look as great in the light as brighter tones. And remember to be comfortable—your engagement session isn’t the time to try out those high heels or too-tight pencil skirts. The more comfortable and flexible you are, the better your photos will look.

Wedding FAQ Vol.1
Since every wedding is different, we do not guarantee a set amount of images. There are several factors that affect the amount of images shot at your wedding including the amount of hours you have contracted us, activities you have scheduled, length of speeches, how many guests his the dance floor and the number of people in your party.

Christina & Matt – Lympne Castle
After the emotional ceremony everyone headed outside for a large group photo and to shower the beautiful bride and groom in confetti before enjoying a drink in the courtyard while I photographed the family all together in the driveway.
Before the couple were welcome inside for speeches, we managed to capture a small collection of stunning portraits which have a warm autumnal look to them. Once seated the speeches were met with a rapturous applause and a collection of belly jiggering laughter!
